Ralph Vold
Multisport Athlete/Builder - Inducted 1991
Ralph Vold participated in a number of sports in his career both as an athlete and as a builder. He was an outstanding hockey and baseball player. Choosing to pursue the latter sport, he helped the Ponoka Stampeders win the Alberta Intermediate A Championship in 1953. He became a member of the Edmonton Eskimos Baseball Club which went on to win several pennants. He played professional baseball with the Brooklyn Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants. Ralph Vold whose name is synonymous with stampede is a member of the Ponoka Stampede Association Board of Directors. He actively supports and sponsors the local High School Rodeo Association as well as Minor Hockey. An avid golfer, he developed the famous Wolf Creek Golf Resort.
